The power of resilience in community has been the heart beet of our work at Kearsarge Food Hub since we started Sweet Beet Farm and Farmstand 10 years ago. Sweet Beet has always been more than a farm, market and café—it’s a gathering place, a labor of love, and a testament to what we can build together.
Over the past decade, we’ve seen this community show up for each other in incredible ways. And now, in the wake of the fire at 11 West Main Street on February 18th, we’re feeling the depth of that support more than ever. While we’re beyond grateful that no one was hurt, the fire has forced our café to close for 6-8 weeks for repairs, and the road ahead is uncertain.
