We've grown so much together since our humble beginnings in 2015.
It’s hard to believe it’s been a decade of service; It feels like just yesterday we were breaking ground at our first little farm plot on Greenhouse Lane, turning an empty field into a vibrant growing space, building Sweet Beet Farm Stand, and beginning this incredible journey of growing and sharing local food with you.
It's been a decade of rethinking, reworking, and rebuilding the local food system here at the Kearsarge Food Hub - and this does not come easily.
It is because of the vision, dedication, and perseverance of hundreds of donors, dozens and dozens of volunteers, many committed community partners, a passionate board of directors, and a truly dynamic team of staff members carrying out the work day in and day out that any of this is possible.
Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or you’re just tuning in, please know that your voice and your support is essential in growing this work into the future.
We've come a long way, but the journey is far from over. Please give what you can today to invest in the next 10 years of building a joyful and resilient local food system!
Make your gift monthly for ongoing, lasting impact!
Here’s a snapshot of what your donation today supports:
Bridging the gap between farmers and eaters
Your support sends nearly $400K back into the pockets of local farmers and producers annually, while offering discount programs in Sweet Beet Market that make local food affordable for hundreds of neighbors and sending out over $100K in food donations that provides hunger relief to thousands.
Getting kids outside and growing new farmers
From Farm + Forest Club to the Farmer Apprenticeship Program, your support helps kids and young adults get outside and get in touch with nature and the source of our food. We even have several Farmer Apprentices heading off to start their own farms in the near future!
Bringing neighbors together during a time of division
2024 was a year of gathering and connection! From the hundreds joining together for our free Community Fair to the power of collaborative networks like FEED Kearsarge that help folks come together through the shared experience of growing food, we’re committed to building bridges - and it’s more important than ever.
